The windshield wipers operate properly. FEM fault code "804281 - Front wiper, wiper line slow: short circuit to positive or power interruption" may be stored. CAUSE Front Electronic Module (FEM) software error CORRECTION Update the vehicle software using ISTA/P 2.47.1 or higher. PROCEDURE 1. Perform vehicle diagnosis using ISTA (Integrated Service Technical Application). Note: When the ISTA system message displays: "Battery voltage only "XX.XX" V. Please connect charger," please note the displayed battery voltage reading in the repair order comments section. 2. Program the vehicle using ISTA/P (Integrated Service Technical Application, Programming) 2.47.1 or higher. 3. Confirm that the check control message is no longer present. Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
