SITUATION
The door mirror glass on one or both sides may crack. Typically the crack starts from the top and travels down toward the center. In addition, the
glass may be permanently discolored.
[NEW] This situation only affects those vehicles produced with outside mirrors that have a plastic frame around them. Frameless mirrors are not
affected.
CAUSE
In some instances, the new style glass may not be able to cope with the thermal and vibrational stresses applied to the glass.
CORRECTION
Replace the glass with the previous version.
PROCEDURE
Replace both the left and right side mirror glass per Repair Instruction REP 51 16 026.
