Situation:
The CD prewire 6 pin connector is not installed on DSP equipped E39's (4/99 and later production).
Cause:
The 6 pin connector (analog audio output) is not required with the DSP amplifier.
Correction:
When installing the CD changer, it is only necessary to use the 3 wire connector(2) and the digital data coax cable(1)(digital audio output). The 3 pin
connector contains the power, ground, and I-bus. Digital audio output is transmitted from the changer to the DSP amplifier through the coax data
cable.
