BMW 6-Series Convertible Review

The 2010 BMW 6-Series is a beautiful and luxurious status symbol, but it's definitely not an all-out sports car. The convertible may not be the most dynamic performer in its class, but it is a high-end luxury cruiser worthy of your attention. Drawbacks include a cramped backseat and not-so-intuitive multi-media interface system. In addition to the Convertible, the 2010 6-Series is also available as the 650i Coupe, and the performance-tuned M6.

The 6-Series Convertible is powered by a 4.8-liter V8 engine that is powerful and smooth. Together with its steering, suspension, and braking systems, the car handles remarkably well. The vehicle was last freshened up in 2008, but its sleek exterior design and automatic soft top with heated glass rear window still leaves critics impressed. The cabin is characterized by luxurious finishes and comfortable front seats. In short, the 6-Series Convertible is one sporty car.

Brand-New 2012 BMW 6-Series Convertible

The new 2012 BMW 6-Series Convertible isn't due to arrive in showrooms until late 2010 or early 2011, given the current model was only given its mid-cycle facelift a little over two years ago. The Convertible's rear side windows are a different shape now, the roof profile is also slightly different, and the rear window on the Cope is slightly wider than the one on the Convertible as well. The Convertible will continue to be offered with the conventional soft-top roof.

This is why the new 2012 BMW 6-Series Convertible has a much sleeker look and a wider, more purposeful stance. Inside, the new 6-Series will feature plenty of luxury appointments, as well as an eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The current engine lineup is expected to carry over relatively unchanged as well.
