Check Control Message for Overheated Convertible Top Drive Motor
MODEL
E88 (1 Series) up to June 14, 2010 production
SITUATION
Intermittently a CC (Check Control) message is displayed, indicating overheating of the convertible top drive motor.
CAUSE
The convertible top module (CVM) coding
PROCEDURE
Perform diagnostics with ISTA, and then code the CVM with ISTA/P 2.38.1 or greater.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
Covered under the terms of the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
