SUBJECT
Rear Seat Entertainment System Is Intermittently Inoperative
MODEL
F01, F02, F04 *(7 Series)
F07, F10 *(5 Series)
*Vehicles up to 06/2010 with option 6FG (Rear Seat Entertainment System)
SITUATION
Intermittently the Rear Seat Entertainment system will not play a DVD and/or the display is inoperative.
CAUSE
Software error in the Rear Seat Entertainment system
PROCEDURE
Reprogram the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.39.1 or higher.
Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
