Vehicles from 09/2010 with option 663 (Radio Professional, RAD2+) and option 653 (HD Radio) SITUATION





When an HD radio station is selected, "acquiring" is displayed if no HD signal is available on that frequency. The message "acquiring" will only disappear when the HD radio station is available again or by switching the radio station.









NOTE:







Audio from the main station (AM/FM) can be heard. CAUSE













Application error in the RAD2+ radio INFORMATION





Do not replace parts!









Explain the situation to the customer.









NOTE:







If the customer prefers, the HD radio function can be turned off in the radio settings. This would leave the radio in non-HD mode. This Service Information will be updated as soon as an official field solution is available.
