Price, Specs, Features And Photos

BMW X2 made a North American debut at the Detroit Auto Show in 2018 and now is almost ready to hit the dealerships. Now, the 2019 BMW X2 is ready to hit the markets. As for the safety, the upcoming model 2019 BMW X2 is equipped with many features. The base model features fabric upholstery, higher trims are available with fabric and Alcantara materials. The rest of the model range uses an 8-speed automatic transmission. Introduced for the 2018 model year, the subcompact BMW X2 uses the same platform as the automaker’s X1 SUV. The interior layout of the 2019 BMW X2 is basically the same as on the X1 model. The upcoming 2019 BMW X2 model shares a lot of things with the second-generation X1, they ride on the same platform and are using the same drivetrain. Don’t get confused, X2 model shares almost nothing with models like X4 or X6.

The side vents down below are the same, but the center vent is now rectangular and not trapezoidal like before. If you opt for this option, the choice is down to Dakota leather and Micro Hexagon fabric. It looks sleek, it provides good handling, it is relatively efficient, and for those who love small crossovers, the X2 might be a good choice. And unlike its main rivals such as Audi Q3 or Mercedes-Benz GLA, the X2 provides better interior space. Edmunds has deep data on over 6 million new, used, and certified pre-owned vehicles, including rich, trim-level features and specs information like: MSRP, average price paid, warranty information (basic, drivetrain, and maintenance), features (upholstery, bluetooth, navigation, heated seating, cooled seating, cruise control, parking assistance, keyless ignition, satellite radio, folding rears seats ,run flat tires, wheel type, tire size, wheel tire, sunroof, etc.), vehicle specifications (engine cylinder count, drivetrain, engine power, engine torque, engine displacement, transmission), fuel economy (city, highway, combined, fuel capacity, range), vehicle dimensions (length, width, seating capacity, cargo space), car safety, true cost to own.

Just know that extra under-floor storage comes at the expense of a spare tire - if you opt for one that space disappears. One of the X2’s biggest highlights is its iDrive infotainment system. The one drawback is the X2’s ride quality. The X2 is stiffer than the X1 and equipped with one of three suspension setups that range from base to M Sport, the latter of which is lower and stiffer, to fully adaptive dampers that are even lower but offer a range of options to dial in firmer settings. At the back, the taillights are the same size like on other X models, but they look sleeker. It looks like a sportier and sleeker version of the X model. The gas model will use a 2.0-liter engine with 190 HP. This may sound overwhelming, but overall these controls are quite intuitive and easy to use while on the go. While the profile looks the same, there are slight changes. The leather is also there only in the range-topping M Sport package.

To round out the M Sport's mechanical treatment, you also get specially-designed M Sport brakes, a suspension, and steering system geared toward creating a more engaging driving experience. The powertrain gets a sport version of the 8-speed automatic transmission, and intelligent all-wheel drive comes standard on this trim level. It also gets you a quicker X2; its 6.3 second 0-60 time is a significant 3 tenths of a second ahead of the front-driver. The suspension that’s so well-behaved and supple most of the time can get choppy over broken pavement. Tack on enough options, and the M35i balloons over $50,000. Other than wheels and tires, not a lot appears to have changed over the past three years, mind you, which obviously (as previous noted by the X1’s sales volume) doesn’t make any difference to X1 owners, or for that matter to yours truly. I probably wouldn’t have opted for the active cruise control with stop and go because I don’t do daily highway commutes with dense rush hour traffic. So as not to beat up on the Encore, which I quite like for urban commuting, some of BMW’s challengers wouldn’t have received particularly high marks in all categories just noted, at least initially.

The X2 crossover is BMW’s sixth crossover and it is on the markets since 2011. This small SUV hit the roads in 2015 and was redesigned a year after that. Let me suggest we will see more and more crossover SUVs from various brands evolve to be more car-like in overall design. The exterior design is quite car-like. This model will be available with eleven colors Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Jet Black, Glacier, Silver Metallic, Mineral Grey Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Dark Olive Metallic, Mediterranean Blue Metallic, Galvanic Gold Metallic and Sunset Orange Metallic exterior colors. The interior will be offered with SensaTec Oyster/Black Leatherette and SensaTec Dakota Black Leatherette. The 2020 BMW X2 is offered in three trim levels: sDrive28i, xDrive28i, and the sport-tuned M35i. The 2020 BMW X2 sDrive28i starts at $37,395, including the $995 destination charge. X2 M35i production starts in November meaning deliveries should commence by early 2019. Pricing hasn't been announced but expect a slight premium on the $39,395 starting price of the 2018 X2 xDrive28i. Nope. It starts where you might expect it to end up.
