FIRST DRIVE: BMW X2 XDrive28i -- Defying The Odds

Personally, Sunset Orange is the color I’d choose and it’s the color I did choose in Palm Springs. You can build & price your own 2020 BMW X2 xDrive28i including the style, color & options to get an exact price, with our promotions and rebates and availability in stock. New car prices paid include dealer discounts for the same typically equipped vehicle (year, make, model, trim) and do not include taxes, fees (title, registration, license, document and transportation fees), manufacturer incentives and rebates. And it’s truly a car that must be seen in person to appreciate, because it looks much better in the flesh than in photos. The entire interior is designed to be more SUV-like, much like the X1. Though, I think I spoke to more journalists who did really like it than not. But for those who want to feel as if they are riding above traffic, well, they’re going to have to get something a lot taller than this (or either of the other vehicles in this test), because everything on the road now is tall.

The X2 has abandoned many of the features people want out of a crossover-space, height, a semblance of all-terrain capability-without giving enough of the sleek, coupe-like style and performance people who opt for such a vehicle presumably desire. I look at modern runway models and I see people trying on outfits for Game of Thrones, not outfits that human beings might actually wear in the real world. BMW has manufactured models of X2 xDrive28i for 3 years. Compared to other vehicles, you spend $1,750 more over 5 years compared to an average vehicle. It may not reflect the dealer's actual cost of the vehicle and may vary across dealers. Government regulators estimate the fuel cost of the 2020 X2 xDrive28i to be $1,800 per year. Prices shown are the prices people paid including dealer discounts for a used 2018 BMW X2 xDrive28i Sports Activity Vehicle with standard options and in good condition with an average of 12,000 miles per year. Used car prices paid include dealer discounts for the same typically equipped vehicle (year, make, model, trim) in good condition with an average of 12,000 miles per year. This was a more freeform press launch for BMW, which allowed us journalists to just grab the key and go, with every car on hand, and have fun in the canyons.

We have found our peace. No, we are at peace with the world as it is presented to us because, in a few ways that we care deeply about, the material realm is a better place today than it was before. Stackable vs Non-Stackable: Stackable incentives are discounts that can be combined with cash, finance and/or lease rates should you qualify for them. Or, if style or an entertaining drive is your top priority, why wouldn't you buy the spectacular new 3 Series, which you can have well-equipped in M Sport 330i xDrive trim for the same price as this baby crossover? We Know You Will Enjoy Your Test Drive Towards Ownership! All-wheel drive is standard on all versions, as are the E-Pace’s meatball-like proportions. On the other hand, the headlights are obviously taken from the X1, exactly enjoy the bumpers and front grille. Apple Carplay, Alarm System, Auto-Dimming Exterior Mirrors, Auto-Dimming Interior Mirror, Automatic Trunk, BMW ConnectedDrive Services Professional, Comfort Access, Electric Seats w/Driver Memory, Front & Rear Park Distance Control, Head-Up Display, Heated front seats, Heated Steering Wheel, HiFi Sound System, Lights Package, Lumbar Support, On-Board Navigation Professional, Panorama Sunroof, Park Assistant, Power Folding Side Mirrors, Premium Package Enhanced, SiriusXM Satellite Radio Tuner, Sport Seats, Universal Remote Control.

Heated front seats, power-folding mirrors, a head-up display, upgraded audio, park-distance sensors, and, well, pretty much every nicety available mean that this is about as expensive as an X2 can get. For all the angry lines of the front fascia trying their best to look mean the X2 seems to know its limits when it comes to off-roading, and its standard ride height makes the X1 look like a Baja truck or a United Nations ceasefire monitor's armored SUV by comparison. Its front seats are supportive and accommodating in that characteristically Volvo way. Instead, consider that the luxury-brand cute-utes gathered here, the BMW X2, the Volvo XC40, and the Jaguar E-Pace, are the reincarnations of the stumpy BMW 318ti, the Mitsubishi-based Volvo S40, and the Jaguar X-type, which was a shitbox. The advantages of sport-utility vehicles are legion for many people, but most of them stem from one intrinsic fact: They ride high. MSRP: The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price or MSRP is the price the manufacturer recommends the dealer charge for its new vehicles.

Invoice Price: The price on the vehicle manufacturer's bill to the dealer. Check the manufacturer's website for current incentive and rebate offers that might apply to you, and subtract from the prices shown for the price range most relevant to you. Furthermore, this engine offers an all-wheel-drive installation and it strikes from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 minutes. The 2.0-liter engine offers plenty of grunt, and the eight-speed automatic rows well through the gears, even if the crossover itself won't corner as flat as some of BMW's sportier offerings. And that engine, which allows the XC40 to run neck and neck with the BMW all the way up to 120 mph, doesn’t actually sound like an engine at all. By our measure, the X2’s center of gravity is two inches lower than that of the E-Pace and the XC40. On paper, though, styling and size are about the only differences between the two cars.
