2020 BMW X2 Trim Levels W/ Configurations & Comparison

After driving a 2018 BMW X2 xDrive28i at the track earlier this year, we found the compact crossover to be a competent handler but still dynamically lacking compared to what its sporty good looks suggests. Description: This beautiful compact crossover offers a host of premium options and features such as light alloy Y-spoke wheels, rain sensing wipers, LED lights with automatic highbeams, power heated side mirrors, front fog lamps, navigation, Apple CarPlay, a 7 speaker stereo with a 6.5 inch display, heated front bucket seats, synthetic leather upholstery, a leather and metal look multi-functional steering wheel, front and rear cup holders, push button start, dual zone front climate control, cruise control, genuine wood and metal look interior panels, frontal collision warning, lane departure warning, a rear view camera and much more. Furthermore, there is also an M Sport X Package which features a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch wheels, a sport transmission and suspension, and an M Sport steering wheel. But I can live with those quibbles, given that my X2 xDrive28i was not only fun to drive but also very comfortable up front with airy surrounds, wonderfully sculpted buckets and a relatively smooth ride even with the $4,650 M Sport package.

And unlike its main rivals such as Audi Q3 or Mercedes-Benz GLA, the X2 provides better interior space. That’s about average for a luxury subcompact SUV, and it’s in line with rivals like the Audi Q3, Jaguar E-Pace, and Cadillac XT4. The X2 is new and exciting, but there's little reason to buy it instead of the top-ranking rivals in this segment. However, the X1 can't be had with the X2 M35i's 302-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes this little SUV a more focused performance machine. BMW says the little rig will hit 60 miles per hour in a brisk 6.3 seconds. It will be able to hit 60 mph in 6.3 seconds. The fun-to-drive Mercedes-Benz GLA was a big hit when it arrived for the 2015 model year. Although the X2 has been all-new for the 2018 model year, according to the latest news, the carmaker is preparing the next version which will enter the dealerships as the 2019 BMW X2.

The M Sport X will use the same engine but it will feature a sport-tuned version of the same 8-speed automatic gearbox. Both X2s come with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It works with an 8-speed automatic transmission and it is available with front-wheel and all-wheel drive systems. The John Cooper Works version boasts 228 horsepower and prices from $33,000 and change. Infiniti’s QX30 grabs the low end at about $31,000, unless you count modestly powered Mini Cooper Countryman models, which share a platform with the X1. You'll also find similar interior styling and quality in both models, as well as comparable features. A seven-speaker audio system will be good enough for casual listeners, but a Harman/Kardon premium sound system can be added and should appeal to audiophiles. It looks sleek, it provides good handling, it is relatively efficient, and for those who love small crossovers, the X2 might be a good choice. It, too, has a high-powered line-up that is known for putting in a good performance and being packed with features. Being an M Performance model, the X2 M35i, in addition to a powerful engine, also sports a performance-oriented chassis. Apple CarPlay and Navigation also come standard now, and, when you go for the M35i, you get even more sporty features and, of course, sheer mechanical power.
