SUBJECT
Roof Lining Damage in C-pillar Area
MODEL
[NEW] E88 (1 Series Convertible) produced from 5/2009 to 5/2019 .
SITUATION
The soft top roof lining shows damage in the C-pillar area.
CAUSE
Spot welds in the convertible top storage well area have exposed burrs, which damage the lining when the soft top is stowed.
CORRECTION
Spot weld burrs must be removed and the soft top lining replaced.
