SUBJECT
Remotes Inoperative Fuse 53 Blown
MODEL
E39 (5 Series)
SITUATION
The customer complains that the remotes are inoperative. Fuse 53 is blown, and no faults are stored
CAUSE
Fuel door lock actuator, or wiring fault
PROCEDURE
Check the wiring from fuse 53 to the lock actuator. If no faults are found, replace the fuel door lock actuator.
