SUBJECT:
Digital CPT 7000 Phone; No Volume Adjustment in Hands-Free Mode
239
MODEL:
All with CPT 7000 phone
SITUATION
After the CPT 7000 handset has been connected to the vehicle and a call was successfully initiated in a hands-free mode, the volume can not be
adjusted from the MFL (steering wheel), or the radio volume knob (on MID or Board Monitor).
Volume adjustment can be restored by opening and closing the handset flip (without disconnecting the coil cord).
CAUSE
The phone's handset is turned ON, prior to connecting it to the vehicle. Consequently, the handset's hands-free mode is not fully recognized by the
PSE box. This is normal behavior of the CPT 7000 Digital Phone.
CORRECTION
Do not replace any components of the phone. Instruct the customer that in order to achieve full integration with the vehicle, the phone must be turned
OFF before connecting it to the vehicle.
