SUBJECT
"REG OFF" Displayed on NG C53 Cassette Radio

SITUATION
The "REG OFF" display appears and stays for approximately 2 seconds on the C53 (cassette) New Generation radio every time the radio is turned
on.
CAUSE
The "REG ON/OFF" function (associated with the alternative frequencies feature) is not available in the US market If "REG OFF" is displayed when
the radio is turned ON, this is normal behavior (if the feature is deactivated) on the 053 unit.
CORRECTION
To disable the "REG OFF" display, with the radio turned ON, press and hold the RDS button until "REG ON" appears in the display.
DO NOT REPLACE THE RADIO WHEN THIS TYPE OF COMPLAINT IS ENCOUNTERED.
