GENERAL INFORMATION
In order to support the CPT 7000 Digital Cellular Portable Phone, BMW and Motorola have created a CPT 7000 specific Training &
Troubleshooting Manual. The manual has been created to assist technicians with diagnosis and repair of the CPT 7000 System. Contained in this
manual you will find:
-- Basic introduction to the CPT 7000 System.
-- Graphic Representations of the System Layout in all Vehicle Models (except Z3 - at this time the Z3 is not pre-wired to accept the CPT 7000
system).
-- A Brief Overview of Components, Features and Functions.
-- Connector Pin Callouts for both Phone and Vehicle Harness.
-- Wiring Diagram.
-- Preliminary Troubleshooting Procedures.
-- Troubleshooting Trees.
-- Programming Instructions for both CDMA and TDMA Phones.
To insure that all centers have sufficient copies a total of three copies will be distributed to the Service Manager of each center free of charge. Due to
a limited initial quantity at this time only one copy of this manual will be sent to each BMW center. As soon as sufficient quantities are available two
more copies will be sent free of charge. Additional manuals can be ordered from Service Engineering at a cost of $ 6.00 per manual as shown.
