In-Dash CD43 Radio-CD Player Skips
MODEL:
Z3 roadster, Z3 coupe, E46
Situation:
When CD43 is switched to CD operation, audio remains mute for 30 seconds and then CD skips constantly. Radio function (AM and FM) works
properly.
Vehicles Affected:
Z3 roadster,Z3 coupe, 3231, 328i (new 3 series) equipped. with CD43 radio
Cause:
Software error created by installing unit while ignition was turned on
Correction:
To restore CD operation, disconnect battery for short period of time (to reset radio). If applicable, obtain radio code before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
DO NOT REPLACE CD43 RADIO TO CORRECT THIS COMPLAINT
