Water Drips into the Trunk with the Trunk Lid Open
MODEL
F01, F02 (7 Series) produced up to June 5, 2009
SITUATION
Residual water on the trunk lid may drip into the trunk while the lid is opening.
CAUSE
The trunk lid trim adjacent to the tail lamps does not route water away from the trunk opening.
CORRECTION
Seal off an open hole in the trunk lid, and if necessary, replace the tail lamp trim with updated parts.
PROCEDURE
Refer to the attached procedure SIB511010 Procedure.
