Replacing the Sunroof Glass Mechanism

INFORMATION
A design change was made to the panoramic sunroof frame in conjunction with parts of the rear glass panel mechanism. The available repair kits for
the front and rear glass mechanisms contain ONLY the later design parts (for sunroofs >TLL 313, 415, and 288). As a result, the repair kits should
NOT be used on the following sunroof cassettes:
- E83 with a TLL# of up to 415
- E53 with a TLL# of up to 313
- E61 with a TLL# of up to 288
If either of these repair kits for any of the above listed models is required, the sunroof frame must be replaced.
NOTE:
^ Problems affecting other parts of the sunroof cassette, such as the sunshades or motors, may still be repaired and do not require a frame
replacement.
^ Other models equipped with a panoramic sunroof are unaffected by this change.
^ Even though a sunroof frame must be replaced for these reasons, TeileClearing authorization is still required prior to the part being replaced.
