SITUATION
The Bowden cable for the outside door handle on both front doors may not be watertight. As a result, water and/or dirt may enter the
cable if it is not sealed properly. The handle may therefore be difficult to move. This situation is most common at very cold ambient
temperatures.

The Bowden cable has become contaminated with water and/or dirt and the water may have frozen around the cable.
CORRECTION
Check and replace the Bowden cable[s] as needed.
It is not necessary or recommended to replace any other door components for this matter.
PROCEDURE
1. Remove the affected door handle Bowden cable per Repair Instruction REP 51 21 233.
2. Inspect the Bowden cable for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, or poorly seated gaiters.
3. If any moisture or corrosion is present, replace the Bowden cable.
