CCC - "Presets" List in Satellite Radio Mode Is Erased

E63, E64 (6 Series) produced from SOP to 5/2009
E70 (X5) produced from SOP to 9/2009
E71 (X6) produced from SOP to 9/2009
E82, E88 (1 Series) produced from SOP to 8/2008
E90, E91, E92, E93 (3 Series) produced from SOP to 8/2008
All vehicles equipped with option 609 Navigation System Professional, CCC) and option 655 (Satellite Radio)
SITUATION
Previously assigned radio channels to the satellite radio "Presets" list have been erased and radio channels selected from the list "All channels" menu

The problem occurred after the recently implemented Sirius/XM channel lineup change.
CAUSE
The data handling between the satellite radio receiver (SDARS-Exbox) and the Car Communication Computer (CCC head unit) has been corrupted.
CORRECTION
DO NOT REPLACE PARTS!
Follow the procedure provided.
NOTE:
^ The customer must provide all the assigned remote control keys for the vehicle before the procedure is carried out.
^ Find out from the customer what stations they want assigned in their "Preset" list (01 through 12). See attached channel lineup in Attachment B.
