CAUSE Moisture-induced corrosion at the electrical connector for the coolant level sensor causes an inaccurate reading of the coolant level. PROCEDURE Replace the coolant expansion tank, and repair the wiring to the connector for the coolant level sensor. Note: This repair procedure involves draining a small quantity of coolant; refill the drained quantity with new BMW Long-term Antifreeze/Coolant (50/50 mixture). Do not reuse the drained coolant.
