Erroneous Trunk Lid Open Check Control Message
MODEL
E90, E91, E92 (3 Series Sedan, Sports Wagon, and Coupe)
SITUATION
The trunk open check control message may appear, even though the trunk lid or tailgate is fully closed and latched.

CAUSE
Incorrect adjustment of the trunk latch striker
PROCEDURE
^ Do not replace the trunk latch.
^ Adjust the bump stops and striker per Repair Instruction RA 51 24 004.
